Notice and action mechanism — open to everyone, including people without an account

Use this form to notify us about content on Spare-bag that you consider illegal, unsafe or in breach of our rules. You do not need an account. We acknowledge every notice by email with a case reference, review it, and inform you of the decision and its reasons. You can appeal a decision by replying with your case reference.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Explain what you saw and why you believe it is illegal or unsafe. Include dates and names where possible.

How we handle your notice

  1. 1We confirm receipt and give you a case reference.
  2. 2A trained staff member reviews the notice, the reported content and its context.
  3. 3We decide whether to leave the content, restrict it, remove it, or restrict the account, and we record the reasons.
  4. 4You and, where applicable, the affected member receive the decision and a statement of reasons.
  5. 5Both sides can appeal within six months by replying with the case reference; appeals are reviewed by a different staff member where possible.
